随想---1001語からの新たなスタートです。
―５００語の中の習得不要語―
前々回お知らせしていました、５００語の中の習得不要語は、米国人英語講師（７０歳代）によると次の6語でした。
demotic(11/5,no.17), fatuity(12/17,no15), mewl(l1/28,no.13), obloquy(12/3,no9), sinousity(11/12,no.33), syllabicate(11/12,no.9)
これらは、言ってみれば、クイズ番組に出されるような、知っている人の少ない言葉だそうで、いくらなんでも、学習者が知る必要はないどころか、間違って使いでもしようものならかなり奇異に感じられてしまう代物だそうです。（英語講師がもっと若い方だったら、6語よりあるいはもっと多かったろうとも察っせられますが－－。）そんなわけで、データーから抹消してください。
尚、誤りも指摘されましたので、それらも以下に記します。
alleteration⇒alliteration,bur⇒burr（ただし、辞書によってはbur。）,conive⇒connive,cozはcousinの短縮形でなくbecauseのそれと間違えられる恐れあるとの事。demonia⇒demonical,timehonored⇒time-honored,vet'sはあまり見ないとの事（NHK講座に出現だが）。 以上ですが、海外在住（国内在住でも）の訪問者の方でご異見ありましたらどうぞコメント下さい。
―新チャレンジ－－－フレーズのチャレンジ―
NHK語学講座のテキスト注釈でも分かる通り、英語の場合、単語より殊に会話等はフレーズ・イディオムの方が有用・難解なものが多く、このブログではそれらには手が出ず、悔しい思いをしていました。（読解専用として逃げていました。）今度から、少しずつ（うまく語呂合わせできたら、またはピッタリした対訳できるものであったら）それらのダジャレにもチャレンジして行きたいと思います。（「フレーズ」の項として）手法は、今まで通りのダジャレ法（語呂合わせ）か、もしくは対訳のただの解説的なもの（今回の本題１)のパターン---）となるでしょう。その場合、私自身は英語の全くの素人で、辞書や英語雑誌を元にしていろいろ書き記しているだけで、それが英語学上正しいかどうかは全くおぼつきませんので、最近増加している外国在住の訪問者の方々に、先生役をして頂ければと、心より請い願う次第です。そういう言い方が本当にあるのか、そういう使い方で良いのかどうか、等々チェックし、時には正解をコメントにてお知らせ頂ければ本望です。そのことによって、このブログを読む方がどれだけ為になるか計り知れないものがあります。英語に苦労し、悩む者同士の助け合いと思って、ご協力賜りますれば喜びこの上ありません。
本題
ダジャレ文の中の青色文字は英語の意味、赤色文字は語呂合わせの部分で、かなりなまったり方言ぽくなる場合があります。ただし、フレーズはただの解説文だけの場合があります。ダジャレ文は語呂合わせの為の文言で、意味の正当性、日本文としての正確性は有りません事ご周知下さい。初公開時以降に追加・修正した部分は緑色背景文字で表示しています。英単語に添えられた丸数字は難易度レベルを表しています。詳しくは８/２７号をご参照ください。（⑦～⑫は書物には頻出。⑳以上も新聞等には時折出現する。）
―フレーズ―
１）～みたいな
最近、気になる若者の言い回しに、「～みたいな」を語句の最後に付け、表現をぼかす言い方がありますね。これの英語版を最近発見したのです。I suppose~やIt seems~とは違う、まさにぴったりと思える表現なのです。（そう想像しただけなのですが）それが何かは、次回（4/15号）に公表したいと思います。---もったいぶっている訳ではなく、記憶の定着は答えを直ぐ知るより、1，2週間間を置き、考えあぐねた末に知る方がはるかに身に染み込むものである事にかんがみ、このコーナーはそんな風にして行きたいと考えました、ので悪しからず。
―NHKテキスト注釈から（ラジオ英会話2月号より）―---今回４語で、フレーズ・イディオムは多いですが、一単語ものの注釈は本当に少ないです。
２）二人の秘密を、皆の前でばらじ（し）た。⑪divulge(vt)---日本語の意味と語呂が重なったパターンですが、分離型（「前で」の「で」を分離して語呂の先頭に持って来るパターン）で思い出しにくいか。これを避けたものが次の別案です。
別案：出張る字で目立たせて秘密暴露し。---意味曖昧ですが、語感はベターか。はたまた出張る字⇒暴露に関連薄く難ありか。（ぱっと連想はしないか。）本案と別案どちらが良いかコメント下さい。
３）見せてファイト（ド）と言われて戸惑う気弱な子。⑪mystified(a)---mystify の過去分詞形で一般の辞書には形容詞としては非収載ですが、この方がダジャレ易かったのでこれを採用。このダジャレ文でmystifyの方を覚えられたし。（語呂をよりぴったりにする為に品詞をマイナーな品詞に換えて語呂合わせするこのパターンは、このブログには多し。ご承知おき下さい。）
４）奪い合ってはトラブルになる程の素敵な洋服。---⑨adorableこれも分離型、別案考慮中。
別案；格好いい後ラベルが欲しいね、これだけの素敵な商品。－－－こじつけで苦しいか。
５）（ハッとするほどすばらしくて、）ビックリすたにんぐ。－－－すたにんぐ⇒したね、は、ぱっと連想はしないか。⑨stunning(a)
別案；発想は年齢が下（すた）に行く（ぐ）程、すばらしいよ。
―一網打尽―
６）直立不動の厳格な決まり、じっとして体固まり。④rigid(a)---「厳格な・硬直した」の二つの意味を内包させた久々の一網打尽だが、これもまた分離型で要改良か。
別案；恐怖で体固まり、じっとしているしかなかった。---同じ分離型でも、こちらの方がスッキリしているか、「厳格な」の意味が消えましたが。
７）８）兄の口ゲンカには直ぐはブルえ（震え）なかったが、父の口ゲンカにはびっくあ（びっくり）した。⑪squabble(n,vi)⑯bicker(vi,n)---argueの類義語二語を一文に収めた。語呂合わせやや苦しいか。
９）１０）褒美は、先祖には直ぐにし、孫には我慢し差し控えよ。⑱forebear(n)⑭forbear(vi,vt)---どちらも「フォーベア（褒美は）」と読め、両方の意味を一文に収めた。尚、phobiaと混同されないよう。
１１）１２）食事が殻や皮だけでは腹（ハル）はすく。⑨hull(n)⑪husk(n)---両者は類義語か。
―ミシュマシュ―
１３）鋳造し上がったニセ硬貨に頬ず（じぇ）りする偽造団。⑪forgery(n)---forge（⑧）の名詞形ですが、動詞形よりダジャレ易かったので名詞形を採用。このダジャレ文で動詞のforgeを覚えられたし。
１４）（サッカーの応援団、）遠くからはるばる、がやがやと騒がしい音をたててやって来た。-⑮hullabaloo(n)---なまり方ピッタリではないが視覚的に「はるばる」に読める。
１５）あいの子と言われてむっとするハーフ。⑬huff(vt,vi,n)---差別用語許容されたし。
１６）もてない俺に今度コンパしょん（よう）ねと言ってくれた哀れみ深い異性の友人。⑩compassionate(a)
１７）営業職の労務は歩き回る事。⑦roam(vi,vt)
別案；歩き回る事、ローマ（む）は一日にしてならず。
１８）もう昼寝しえすた（しましたか）？⑬siesta(n)
１９）財産は半分残ればもういいやって妥協する。⑰moiety(n)
２０）カギ針編みは難しく苦労しえっと（すっと→するぞ）⑫crochet(n,vi,vt))---実際はtはサイレント。
