7月号－－－昔の不明語から
なるべくアップデートな単語をと思い新聞から探していますが、２,３０年前、不明語としてノートに
記録していたものにも、面白いものがあるので、たまにそこから出したいと思います。今回はそこから２語（no.1、2の単語）収載しました。gunshyは生きてる間に出会うかどうかは保証なしです。

1）そんなおどおどびくびくしてないで、もっとがんがんしゃい。（難易度不明）gunshy（a）－－－載っていない辞書もある。ガン（鉄砲）にシャイ（おどおどした）で連想はできる。
例文：After his last suggestion was laughed at by his colleagues, he was gunshy about making
another suggestion.（weblio辞書）
2）昼とん（フィールト―ン）かつにするかどうか迷った。①feel torn （成句）－－－be torn between A and Bで「AかBか迷う」というフレーズもあるようです。 torn 自体は難易度は低いですが、語呂がユーモラスなので収載しました。
例文：John asked me out to diner ,and I don't know what to say. I feel torn because I don't want hurt him saying no.－－－昔の不明語で出所不明、英文も不正確の模様）
3）犯人の防犯カメラに映った顔は怒った顔、見ればわかる、プリッとしてるから。⑨culprit(n)

4）双胴船では、乗船客は一か所に固まらんように。⑱catamaran(n)

5）降伏して連れていかれた部屋は、湿気ていてカビつれーと（かぴっちゅれーと－－－カビつらいと）
嘆く者が多かった。⑬capitulate(vi)

6）加害者が白状するまで焦らんと待とう。⑬assailant(n)

7）交渉話がねじれて倒産（トーシャン)した。⑬torsion(n)－－－機械用語のようで、適当な例文はありません。
別案：交渉話ねじれて困った、この先どうしよう（トーション）。
8）政治家の手下は、素人でなくどうしてもプロでじぇ（プロの手でだぜ）。⑯protege(n)－－－ 別案考案中

9）知らんぷりしっぺてーと言ってる合間に、突然危機を招いた。⑪precipitate(vt)

10）あまり蹴ってぃは、机ぐらぐらになっちゃうよ。⑮rickety(a)
例文：After his failure in business, the relationship between him and his wife has been rickety.

11）ただもくもく書いていたブログ、暗く沈んだ毎日だったが、ある日ついに、大ブリーク（ブレーク）する日が訪れた。⑧bleak(a)
例文：The outlook for actual arms reductions is bleak.（英字新聞にありましたが、新聞なくしたのでweblio辞書からです。）
12）昔のアイドルの歌、「これっきり―これっきり―もうこれっきり―ですか」という、
（このフレーズ、ピンとくる人は50歳以上でしょうね。それにしても全く顔見れないですね、そのアイドル、。お元気でおられるでしょうか。）甘ったるい感傷的な歌詞を、私は「とれっきり―とれっくりー－－－」と間違って覚えていた。(難易度不明）treacly(a)－－－そんな馬鹿な

15）英単はroil・rileのように同意語多く、覚えるのに労要るのでイライラさせらいる（られる）。㉒ roil(vt),⑱ rile(vt)－－－例文はroilのみ。なお、この二つの単語は消えてしまった5月号に掲載していたもので、6/30の新聞記事に載っていましたので再掲載しました。
